Welcome

We are witnessing untold transformation in the lives of people of all ages when they discover God in His Word through our Bible study materials, methods and classes.

For nearly 2 decades, the CBS ministry has been present in Sub-Saharan Africa. Today it is thriving in 21 African countries with over 620,000 children, teens, youths and adults studying God’s Word in their local churches, prisons, schools, refugee camps, orphanages and closed territories.

About 70% of our participants are children, refugees, prisoners or significantly poor — they depend on generous donations to experience God and their transformation through Community Bible Study.

It costs us about $1.5 million Dollars (USD) to translate, print and distribute life transforming Bible study lessons, and Bibles in more than 36 heart languages to our participants as we shepherd them through our volunteers and partners in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Testimonies

I am King Shalom. I am eleven years old, and I live at Kiremba, Burundi. I started CBS teachings at age 3. It helped me a lot because I grew up in God and in His Word. The Word of God that I learned in CBS kept me from sinning. It also helped me in my studies at the school because I practiced memorizing Bible verses and Bible stories and that’s why I got smarter in class.
This brother is John Kabangara. He was an inmate who was arrested for the crime of being found in possession of albinos’ bones for rituals in his grocery business. He joined a CBS Bible Study group at Kasungu Prison in Malawi. God transformed his life. He was pardoned by the President for good behavior. He went back home and established a CBS Bible Study group and was a class leader. Today he is a Pastor and has managed to build the church structure you see.
“CBS has been one of our evangelism and discipleship tool in the Anglican Church of Rwanda over the last decade.  It has resulted in the spiritual growth of our parishioners and grown the attendance in local churches throughout Rwanda.”
Archbishop Laurent Mbanda
I live and serve in North-East Nigeria precisely Kastina State. I was introduced to the CBS Bible study class some years ago. I have always had a passion to reach those who cannot read and write with the gospel and discipleship materials. God led the CBS National Coordinator to invite me to a special training on Spoken CBS (Bible Study for oral learners) last year October. I attended the training with 3 others from my region and we were trained and certified to start and lead classes for those who cannot read and write. To the glory of God we have launched 3 Spoken CBS classes with over 63 participants. We continue to hear and see stories of salvation and life transformation among these people we serve.
